About

Meet Katie

Katie O’Hare, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a licensed speech-language pathologist who earned her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Columbia University. She has worked in private practice, schools, and pediatric outpatient settings, including the past six years at Kennedy Krieger Institute’s outpatient clinics. Katie has experience evaluating and treating children from toddlerhood through young adulthood in the areas of speech production and intelligibility, receptive and expressive language skills, pragmatic language and social communication skills, and fluency. She is also a proficient Spanish speaker with additional certification as a bilingual provider. Katie is passionate about helping children build the communication skills they need to thrive. As a mom of two young children, she understands the demands of family life and prioritizes therapy that supports both children and their caregivers. She takes a child-led, individualized approach, incorporating play, music, and meaningful activities to keep children engaged while working toward their goals. Blooming Voices currently offers comprehensive speech and language evaluations, individualized therapy, screenings, and consultations that take place in your home, in a community location, or over telehealth.
